Lock ‘N Key Restaurant Featured on ABC 7 Suncoast: A Taste of Our Favorite Dishes

We are thrilled to announce that Lock ‘N Key Restaurant was recently featured on ABC 7 Suncoast! Chefs Stevie Cazares and Ashley Esposito had the honor of showcasing some of our most beloved dishes, giving viewers a taste of what makes our menu so special. From our delectable Paradise Scallops to our famous Coconut Cream Pie, the segment highlighted the culinary delights that make Lock ‘N Key a local favorite.

A Taste of Paradise: Our Newest Dish

One of the standout dishes featured in the segment was our Paradise Scallops, a delightful new addition to the menu post-hurricane. These Coconut Encrusted Sea Scallops are served over a bed of white rice and a medley of fresh vegetables, then finished with a rich pineapple and Frangelico beurre blanc. This dish is a perfect blend of tropical flavors and sophisticated technique, embodying the spirit of our restaurant and its commitment to fresh, flavorful ingredients.

Meet the Chefs Behind the Magic

Behind the scenes at Lock ‘N Key, we are fortunate to share a bit about two of the incredibly talented chefs leading the kitchen: Chef Stevie Cazares and Chef Ashley Esposito.

Chef Stevie Cazares

Stevie has been with our family for an incredible 36 years. Originally from Mexico, Chef Stevie came to Florida with little more than a dream and a desire to succeed. Starting as a dishwasher and not speaking a word of English, Chef Stevie has built a beautiful life for himself and his family. Through hard work and dedication, he rose through the ranks to become the heart and soul of our kitchen. His leadership, experience, and passion for food have played an essential role in shaping the Lock ‘N Key Restaurant into what it is today.

Ashley, on the other hand, brings her own unique flair to our kitchen. Born and raised in Miami, Chef Ashley’s multi-cultural background—Italian and Cuban—has greatly influenced her cooking style. Raised in a family of home-cooks, Chef Ashley’s creativity in the kitchen shines through in every dish she prepares. She began her career on Miami Beach before joining the Lock ‘N Key family three years ago. Now, she calls both the restaurant and Englewood home, and we are so lucky to have her talent and expertise on our team.

Why Lock ‘N Key is Special

At Lock ‘N Key, we are more than just a restaurant—we are a family. We take pride in the dedication, passion, and love that goes into every dish we prepare. Whether you’re enjoying our signature Coconut Cream Pie or savoring a new creation like the Paradise Scallops, every bite reflects the hard work and creativity of our team. Our chefs have not only mastered the art of cooking but have built a community around sharing great food and memorable experiences.

Thank you to ABC 7 Suncoast for shining a spotlight on our restaurant and for allowing us to share a little bit of our story. We look forward to welcoming you to Lock ‘N Key soon, where there’s always a seat waiting at the table.
